Chain Reaction

We all know that as college students, we are usually under some type of stress whether it be from school loans, homework, or social problems. Anxiety runs ramped through the halls, but many students have found their quick fix and momentary sense of relief. Smoke breaks are a must among many school campuses, and it seems to never go out of style.

The Cyber Sensation

Ask any college student whether or not they have a Facebook and nine out of ten will say yes. It is almost impossible not to have heard about this massive social cyber world that can connect people from all sides of the globe with the click of a mouse. Myspace, get the hint. Your out and Facebook is the face of networking.

Not just a bike

Bicycling for many is becoming more than just a sport. Students who have been introduced to cycling commonly find themselves completely engrossed in the lifestyle of a cyclist displaying brands that are dominant in the cycling world and changing the way of living. Some become vegans and give up meat, and others vow to only drink a specific type of beer that is the signature alcoholic beverage for cyclists. Obsession or Trend?

Muni is your friend

When living in urban environments such as San Francisco, public transpiration becomes an excepted factor in most citizens everyday lives. Between Bart and the San Francisco Muni system, you can get anywhere you need to go in the Bay area. Many people see taking the bus as a hassle, but you should take advantage of your time on the bus and appreciate the urban atmosphere. Watch the different types of people and cultures that make up such a diverse community, and learn to appreciate the cultural diversity.

A Lasting lifeline?

Projects, deadlines, tests, and papers are just a few of the many annoyances that we as college students have to deal with everyday. What gets us through those long days and nights with no sleep or end in sight? COFFEE. Ask any college student about pulling an all nighter and there will always be a mention of some type of caffeinated coffee beverage. Our brand of choice? STARBUCKS. On every corner you turn, there is bound to be one, and college students alike flock there during their breaks for a quick treat and energizing boost. But will it last much longer? With more in vogue competitors like Peet's Coffee and hard economic times taking their toll, will our go to coffee guru survive? Time can only tell. A word of advice to the caffeine fiends, start looking else where for more eco friendly and cost conscious boosts. Try buying and making coffee at home. Save some a tree by using a personal cup, and save some money by going without that frappuccino.

Tag It.

To some graffiti is vandalism and defacement of property, but to others it is an art form perfected by very few individuals. Many young people today have taken an interest in this form of expression and shown their support by joining in with a spray can. San Francisco which is so diverse and rich with culture, has some on the most amazing and beautiful graffiti murals, which has allowed many to learn from masters of the trade. If you haven't already, make a point to notice and appreciate these intricate and remarkable public works of art.
