Teacher's Pets

These girl's have style.
Both girls look chic and presentable. They have found the perfect balance between whimsical and elegance while still dressing appropriately for their age group. I think both outfits have small details that complete the look and make the outfit that much more unique. I love the scarf that the girl on the left is wearing. The color palette meshes with the over tone of he outfit perfectly. I also liked the skirt that the girl on the right is wearing because it is bright enough to pop but not overwhelming. After seeing he cheetah gladiator sandals, I must go and find a pair for myself.
Take a lesson from these star students and try to create that light and playful feeling while remaining presentable and chic.

The girl on the left is wearing:
- A white tank top
- Navy Blue Cardigan
- High waisted off white linen skirt
- A light blue silk scarf with white flowers and some yellow detailing
A large quilted handbag with gold chain handles
- Gucci flats with gold metal embellishments

The girl on the right is wearing:
- A loose off white linen top
- A darker peach/ salmon colored blazer
- A bright blue high wasted skirt
- Brown leather handbag with gold accents
- Cheetah print gladiator sandals
- Large round sunglasses with a tan frame

It's a Wrap

Over sized scarves that can be easily wrapped around one's self are becoming more and more popular. With a chic look, they are also very practical when temperatures drop and the chilly winds roll in. Buy one of these, and you will be able to pull at least three different looks out of the same sweater!

Chain Reaction

We all know that as college students, we are usually under some type of stress whether it be from school loans, homework, or social problems. Anxiety runs ramped through the halls, but many students have found their quick fix and momentary sense of relief. Smoke breaks are a must among many school campuses, and it seems to never go out of style.

Healthy Living

College students aren't known to have the greatest eating habits or nutrition. Most of us just left home and don't have too much confidence in the kitchen yet, but there are easy solutions out there for healthy nutrition. San Francisco has weekly markets, and  these are great places to purchase fresh fruits and veggies for low prices.

The Vest has passed the Test.

Urban Outfitters: $50

Urban Outfitters: $39.99

Vests have officially passed the test.  Talk about a versatile, this easily to pair accessory has been seen throughout the fashion industry on the runway and in the streets. Vests are a great piece to dress up a plain T or tank when on the go. They also go great with other layers such as a possible blazer or sweater. Mix and match to create a preppy studious look or an urban hobo chic look.

The Cyber Sensation

Ask any college student whether or not they have a Facebook and nine out of ten will say yes. It is almost impossible not to have heard about this massive social cyber world that can connect people from all sides of the globe with the click of a mouse. Myspace, get the hint. Your out and Facebook is the face of networking.

One's Trash, Another's Treasure

Isn't the hunt the best part? At Crossroad Trading Company, you are almost guaranteed that. With racks full of second hand apparel and accessories, customers are on own their own to search through the mish mash of used apparel and find a hidden gem. With most prices set at less than half the original price of the garment, customers are able to find inexpensive clothes that have already been broken in for them. Now, there is that occasional missing button or torn lining, but you can get more buttons and sew the ripped seems. Finding a chic winter coat that was made just for you and is only $20 dollars is not usually an opportunity that presents itself everyday. When shopping there be aware that not everything is perfect. Remember to look past the small issues and see the big picture. I would recommend Crossroads to anyone who is shopping on a budget and not afraid to rummage around for the right look.

Photography has become an increasing trend among young people today. Whether for school or personal gain, the youth keep snapping away, capturing the spirit of the time.

FmyLife

FmyLife.com is a website that was created for people to share stories of how much their life sucks. I guarantee it will my you laugh, a lot. And what quicker way to start feeling better about your own life than to read humiliating stories about others.

Here are just a few:

Today, I was sitting in class and I fell asleep during the lesson. I was wearing sweatpants and had an erection. My teacher came up to me and grabbed my penis. She thought it was my phone. FML

Today, the girl I love and I went to visit my parents out of state for the first time. My father grinned and acknowledged that she was a "keeper", at which she laughed and said we were "just friends". I was going to propose to her next week. FML

Today, I went to my first strip club for my friends birthday. I also found out what my girlfriend does for a living. FML

Today, I was rejected from the University of Washington. My dad has been a professor there for 30 years, and is on the board of admissions. FML

Today, friends threw me a party for finishing my dissertation. I've worked on it for months. They carried my computer downstairs to have music, dropping it halfway. My work was on there. Only back-up? On my flash drive I just found on the floor, crushed by someone's foot. It's due tomorrow. FML

Today, on the 6 train home, I had a gun placed against the back of my head and my wallet, watch, and iPod stolen. As soon as the robber got what he wanted, he turned and ran, dropping his weapon to the ground... I got mugged by a man wielding a fucking Pez dispenser. FML

Today, while I was out to eat, I was approached by the restaurant manager. He told me that while he respected my personal choices, his patrons didn't feel comfortable with someone who used to be a man using the women's restroom. He thought I was a transsexual. I am a naturally-born female. FML

More Bang for your Buck.

For students shopping on a budget, Forever 21 is a great place to go and find some of the top trends of the season. With a prime location right outside the Powell Bart and Muni station in Union Square, it is a one stop shop for bargain hunters alike. Now don't get me wrong, Forever 21 has been known to copy designer silhouettes right off the run way, but do you really want to object to designer looks for low prices?

Open to All

Marc Jacobs is currently one of the hottest designers in the fashion Industry. His carefree attitude and youthful approach to fashion is what draws so many admirers in. Being the designers for Louis Vuitton, one might think that items from Marc's personal collection have a hefty price tag, but it is actually quite a different story. In lower Pacific heights, Marc's Marc by Marc store boasts prices anywhere from one dollar for a glitter dome ring to thirty five dollars for a large canvas tote bag and all the way up to hundreds for handbags and apparel. Even on a student's budget, you have options. Marc fans and followers do not be discouraged! There is something for everyone.

Super Indeed

Known to many as Super Taco, this small taqueria is located right at the border of the tenderloin on 7th Street and Leavenworth. With the option of making your burrito or taco vegetarian, this taqueria is an increasingly popular spot for people who seek a fresh yet inexpensive meal.

Not just a bike

Bicycling for many is becoming more than just a sport. Students who have been introduced to cycling commonly find themselves completely engrossed in the lifestyle of a cyclist displaying brands that are dominant in the cycling world and changing the way of living. Some become vegans and give up meat, and others vow to only drink a specific type of beer that is the signature alcoholic beverage for cyclists. Obsession or Trend?
